What's Included & Why
Comprehensive Panel Tune Up
Aluminum expands and shrinks with the weather. Most home builders use aluminum electrical panels. Many problems like loose connections can occur in panels. Bi-annual panel tune ups--where, among other things, we address loose screws and do a visual inspection--can prevent hazardous loose connections which can cause melting and power issues, as well as spot any blooming issues (breaker problems or aging) and address them before they present themselves.
Whole house load test
We utilize a special testing tool to check every outlet in your home to ensure there is no stray voltage.
GFCI receptacles testing
Your GFCI receptacles (the plugs with test buttons on them) are a very important part of your home's safety system. We will test all GFCIs in your home to ensure they are in proper operating order and recommend replacement if needed.
Light bulb replacement
That's right! We'll replace bulbs that need replacing on our bi-annual visit. (limited to 5 replacements per visit)
Ground rod test
Your ground rod is what directs electricity away from your home. It is perhaps the most vital part of your home's electrical safety system. We have a special ground rod test to test continuity of your ground rod, which should be done bi-annually.
We will also check age of smoke alarms, check for surge protection, and more.
Beyond the listed services, being a member of Gloudeman Electrics' Preventative Maintenance Service Plan gets access to some pretty cool perks.
Priority scheduling: Need a visit that isn't related to your Plan? Jump to the head of the line--as a Gloudeman Electric Service Plan member, you'll get scheduled ahead of others.
Two Annual Inspections: You are an elite homeowner by subscribing to the plan. Your house will thank you for it.
Transferable: Your Plan can be transferred to your new home or stay with the buyer of a home you are selling.
What's not included?
We may make suggestions or find deficiencies in your system during our inspections and any replacements or installs would come at an additional cost which will be relayed to you at the visit (this could be GFCI replacement outlets, smoke alarm replacements, or additional panel repairs like separating double tapped neutrals).
Peace of Mind
Have peace knowing that your electrical system has been reviewed by a licensed and insured electrician, twice per year.
Our Service Plan is a value of over $1,000 if you were to add all services up individually. It's a GREAT deal.
Not only do you get peace of mind, but regular tune ups of your system genuinely impacts the safety of your home in a positive way, preventing hazards and putting an eye on potential ones.
